My name is Elyssa-Beth Bender, and I am driven, outgoing, creative and innovative professional with a high regard for "attention-to-detail". Working mainly under temporary/contract positions, I have gained a combined experience in marketing, social media marketing, advertising, office administration, communications, sales, public relations, customer service, graphic design and professional writing. I am currently looking for a long-term position where I can grow with the business and use my skills, and I believe that my skills will help to contribute in the future success of a company.

At Slippery Rock University, I earned my B.S. degree in English Professional Writing, and while I completed this degree I found an outlet where my skills could flourish: marketing. My degree included mastering knowledge in professional writing, technical writing, creative writing, copy-writing, editing, and digital writing. I was given a well-rounded education in many aspects of writing, and have been able to combine my natural communication skills and my education to work in the fields I have the most passion for: marketing, social media marketing, advertising, communications, sales, public relations, customer service, graphic design and professional writing. In addition, I had also been educated in various digital literary skills such as: Microsoft/Apple office, Adobe InDesign/Canva, Adobe Photoshop, html, Wordpress, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Dropbox, iMovie, Constant Contact/Benchmark, and Wix. I am also familiar with PCs, Macs, and basic html. . 

I was an online-virtual intern for Healthy Happy Human Beings, an organization aimed to connect health specialists with those seeking to learn how to have an overall better inner- self by focusing on the seven areas of health. I was a virtual intern, so I can work independently and still exhibit my communication and collaboration skills with a group hundreds of miles away. I was responsible for social media marketing, public relations, advertising, design, research, cold-calling, and journalism. 

I was the Marketing and General Manager for a newly re-vamped Motel 6 in Frackville, Pa. This gave me the unique opportunity to make relations with guests, staff, other businesses, and the community. My duties include: hiring, payroll, communicating with guests face to face and through other mediums, social media marketing, digital marketing, PR, customer service, scheduling, graphic design, office administration, marketing, and cold calling. In addition, I oversaw the construction and remodeling of the hotel. I was also given the authority to make responsible business decisions on behalf of the franchise owner. 

After seeing a complete success in business and room sales, I was ready to move on to a contract position as lead Sales Associate for Highwood USA— producer in premium poly-synthetic outdoor furniture, spa panels, and dimensional lumber. As the Sales Associate for Highwood USA, my direct role included sales, marketing, prospecting, cold-calling,communications, and customer/business/public relations. Other responsibilities that I took on were travel planning, budgeting expenses, primary field-research, presenting data into clear and concise, planning and executing construction for the “Mobile Showroom”, event/show planning, building price lists, writing content for promotional advertisements, social media writing communications, office administration, and customer/business/public relations. I was also responsible for daily receptionist duties as well. 

Most recently, I work under a temporary contract position for the Department Faculty Practice Orthodontic Clinic at UNC's School of Dentistry. My job entails scheduling, patient relations, daily deposits, billing, insurance filing, case presentations, and retrieving marketing data. 

In addition to my employment history, I also am the Content Creator and Administrator of my own website, The Homecoming Project-- an online, digital resource dedicated to spreading awareness to missing, abducted, and exploited persons cases with the hopes of reuniting them with their loved ones. https://www.ebthehomecomingproject.com.
